I am a Registered Social Worker here in British Columbia, Canada, and also in a good standing member of BC Association of Social Workers.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and Master's degree in Social Work.
I received both of my degrees from Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA.
After receiving Master's degree, I worked at a local non profit outpatient clinic in
St. Louis as a counsellor providing individual and family counselling.
Then I moved to Japan and worked as a clinical therapist in mental health fields, a psychiatric hospital, outpatient clinic and as well as in a school setting. After several years of practice in Japan as a clinical therapist, I had a chance to move to Vancouver.
Here, trained in the USA and Japan, I am looking forward to provide the same quality of care for those in need.
In addition to my private practice, I am working part-time to provide care for children and youths here in Vancouver, and doing some community volunteer work.
To put simply, I guess I like helping people....

I believe in the use of humor in my practice as well as in my private life.
Studies have shown that laughter introduces special brain chemicals, called endorphins, which may help lessing of anxiety and depressed mood.
That being said, with a little humor here and there, I integrate techniques above to provide care. Together, we will find ways for a better life ahead.
